You are correct in remembering that there isn’t much to do in Riverton. They recently got a casino (which can be bad) but we definitely spent some nights there hanging out, getting free pop. You don’t have to gamble and they have cheap cafe or a fairly good restaurant to eat at there. I’m not sure if you’re in to frisbee golf but that was also something we did when the weather was warm. Boysen Reservoir is close by and makes for a super fun day when its warm! Otherwise Lander is a pretty sweet place to be. The Gannett is a great place to eat and there is TONS of climbing and hiking around there. Lots of people road/mtn bike and trail run there too. If you’re looking for an outdoorsy type mindset Lander is more the place. Riverton isn’t bad, but I love the Lander area quite a bit!
To my wonderful mother! I’m a day late but happy birthday! I wish more than anything that I could have been there! Love you so much! @shandaskaggs #typography #handlettering #drawing #birthday
It’s been a while since I’ve done some #handlettering! Can’t decide whether to add a watercolor background or not! #drawing #typography #copics #sketchbook
Looking for some short #quotes to draw! Although I’m sure you all just love the cheesy ones I come up with on my own :-) #typography #handlettering #copics #drawing
Hello there! I am actually from Riverton. The Riverton in Wyoming, to clarify. (I know there are some others out there) Riverton is an interesting town though. Are you studying outdoor education through NOLS or is it just through CWC?? In my opinion Riverton is kind of a small town, lots of people either from the reservation or cowboys/farmers. Lander (where NOLS is) has more of the types of people interested in the outdoor ed things. Its a sweet place with lots of climbing and hiking. But overall this a hard question for me to answer! What specifics do you want to know about the area?
